Kabli Pulao

What can we learn from Kabli Pulao?

With every single passing day, we see drama series that touch the core of our hearts and teach humanity a great lesson.

Today the topic, that this article is going to present, is known as “Kabli Pulao”. As with the name, the viewers tend to fall for the dish but here we are not talking about food nor about a dish, in fact, here it’s the name of a drama serial being presented by Green Entertainment every Tuesday at 8:00 P.M

Characters

  • Sabeena Farooq as Barbreena
  • Mohammed Ehteshamuddin as Haji Mushtaq
  • Nadia Afgan as Shamim
  • Adnan Shah Tipu as Chaudhry Qayyum
  • Munazzah Arif as Zubaida

About

The story of the drama serial revolves around a girl named Barreena who lost his love of life and is now an Afghan refugee widowed who latterly marries an old age man named Haji Mushtaq.

Haji Sahib not introduces her to his family as a wife but rather as a house help. But soon, as time passed family members came to know that there was some other relationship between the two.

Lessons we have learned

Although it’s a fiction story it teaches us great lessons. Some of them are mentioned below;

The beauty of accepting each other

Despite the notions, regarding cultural or social backgrounds, the truly beautiful family has an entirely different culture but as the story unfolds, we witness a lie in the fact of accepting each other. It is hard for Barbreena to adjust to the transformation.

When the situation normalizes, Barbreena started sharing her culture with Haji Saheb and his family through language, cuisine, attire, and dance. This ultimately teaches that authentic beauty blooms when we accept each other without imposing change which brings hearts close to each other.

Relationships demand contributions

The story narrates that every individual must contribute to their relationships. They must think beyond the picture and should always remember that relationships are tangled woven fabric that takes time and demands compromises.

Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover

The most important lesson we can learn from this drama serial is that we should judge anyone through his/ her physical appearance, everyone must be going through difficult situations and are fighting with their own.

In the drama, we can see that everyone in the house is going through different challenges under the pressure of respect in society. Moreover, the drama taught us that there is immense value in kindness.

Final Thoughts

No doubt the drama is a masterpiece and is teaching society many moral lessons. It reflects on who we individually or collectively are.
