Rawalpindi Master Plan

Approval Granted For Land Classification Map for Rawalpindi Master Plan

In a recent development in Rawalpindi, the District Planning & Design Committee (DPDC) approved the ‘land classification map’. It’s a crucial step towards the much-anticipated master plan for Rawalpindi.

According to a news article on 3rd December, a senior official revealed that Metropolitan Municipal Planning (MMP) had finalized the ‘land classification plans for six tehsils including Gujar Khan, Murree, Taxila, Kallar Syedan, Kotli Sattian & Kahuta.

The progress hit an obstacle when Murree was declared a New District. It caused a temporary pause in the work on land use plans for Murree & Kotli Sattian. The local government administrators in Rawalpindi consented to prepare the master plan.
