Gwadar finally got a hospital under CPEC
Gwadar, the epicenter of the CPEC project, finally gets a hospital. The hospital, which began operations on December 4 and was supported by the Chinese government for a total of USD 100 million, represents the durable bilateral relations between China and Pakistan.
The 300-bed hospital, which spans 68 acres, was built as part of the Gwadar. The opening of the Pak-China Friendship Hospital in Gwadar is a historic event in the region’s healthcare sector.
Adnan Khan, a socio-economic development expert at the Centre of Excellence, China Pakistan Economic Corridor, China, and Pakistan, designed three transformational corridors – Green Corridor, Digital Corridor, and Health Corridor.
“This strategic initiative will herald a new era of development for Pakistan, with a particular focus on revamping and modernizing the nation’s healthcare infrastructure.”
Adnan Khan stated that the facility will assist in raising Gwadar’s healthcare quality to worldwide levels, decreasing the need for locals to travel great distances for specialized medical treatments.
“The hospital’s comprehensive services, ranging from primary care to specialized treatments, are expected to significantly improve the overall health outcomes of the region.”
