Google is a widely used platform and is known for its convenience. We use Google daily and most of the time at our workplaces, for our research or studies and shopping.
But recently a debate was going on about how Google would want us to buy more. So let’s dig deep into this question.
Google is a well-known search technology where we are just one click away from our query. Google uses several strategies to make its users buy more and the strategies include:
Google shows advertisements because this is one of the reasons through which it generates revenues for Google. When we search for something on Google, it shows us results that are related to some sort of shopping brand.
This works as the placement of chocolate bars on the cash counter of a grocery store. Even if you have no intentions to buy it, only looking at it might result in a desire to buy it or you might add it into your online shopping cart.
Now even if you did not buy anything, you will get a notification time and again from Google of that particular advertisement.
This is how you will not forget about it and the more you view that advertisement the more Google is paid for that.
Google keeps on what your interests are and then it works on algorithms that will keep on showing you your favorite brands time and again. Take this example of clothing brands.
If you once touch a brand advertisement, the brand will pay Google for that and the more you are interested in the feed the more chances are there of opening that advertisement.
All in all, Google does want you to pay more to generate its revenue. That is how businesses work, you give something and in return you take something.
