Michael Gambon, the actor of Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter dies at 82

The actor ‘Michael Gambon’ played the role of Albus Dumbledore in two out of the eight films. His character was the headmaster of the magical school Hogwarts and one of the people that the main character ‘Harry’ was the closest with. Micheal portrayed the elegance and power of Albus’s character with grace.

The actor died due to pneumonia, his widow and son revealed. He was 82 years old. Michael Gambon was an Irish actor, born and raised in Dublin. He worked on TV, theatre, and movies, in his five-decade-long career. He also won several prominent accolades in his time including five Baftas.

His most beloved and well-known role was in Harry Potter. The movies have been a sensation for the past two decades. The story, penned by J.K. Rowling rose to fame due to its unique world-building and lovable characters. The story follows the chosen format in fantasy fiction, following the adventures of Harry until his triumph against evil.

Aside from that he also played the beloved detective Jules Maigret in the ITV series Maigret. He is also known for his role as Philip Marlow in The Singing Detective.

No matter what character he decided to portray, his long career boasts of triumph.
