Pakistan vs. India: It’s more than a match
The cricket fever has always run high in the two South Asian countries, with millions of fans glued to their screens to witness the long-standing rivalry between the two teams.
For Pakistani cricket fans, all matches are important but Pakistan vs. India hits differently. From other losses, the fans move on, but a loss in the match of Pakistan vs. India cuts deep.
Pakistan vs. India rivalry
Pakistan and India are neighboring countries with long-standing political, religious, and cultural differences.
The tensions in their shared history translate in the form of cricket matches nowadays.
For the fans, it is not a matter of a simple match but directly correlates with the pride of their Nation.
No one wants to concede defeat, thus every match is filled to the brim with passion. The players strive to be their best version, showcase charged plays, and try their hardest.
The Match in Ahmedabad
Pakistani cricket fans have always been fickle. One day they support their team to the fullest, and turn their backs once there is a certain performance they do not like.
That is why, the Pakistan vs. India match scheduled to be held on Saturday in Ahmedabad peaked in pressure. The players tried but lost.
The overwhelming response
This time, however, their loss was met with a deep understanding by the Pakistani public. The World Cup is taking place in India, and Pakistanis have not been allowed to see and support their team in India.
No one was awarded a visa to travel to India for the World Cup. This resulted in a sea of blue that filled the stadium, and Pakistani players could not see a single speck of friendly green in the stands.
Pàkistan batsman Muhammad Rizwan was returning to the pavilion after getting out.
He had to face ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants from the crowd of Narendra Módi stadium during #IndiaVsPakistan WC today.

Unfavorable conditions
Very few journalists were allowed to travel so there was not much reporting of the matches on the mainstream channels.
The Indian crowd also showed unprofessional behavior throughout the match. Keeping in view such conditions, Pakistani fans have forgiven the team for not putting out their best performance and are still rooting for them with the same passion.
