As with the increasing economy, the need for houses and other infrastructure has been increased which ultimately results in increases in the production of cement.
An increase of 47% in the sales of cement has been recorded by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) as compared to the same month of the previous year.
Basically, the increase in the production of cement is due to different reasons from which some of which are highlighted below:
The increase in the population over a period of time has created numerous problems for the people and the Government of Pakistan. Due to overpopulation, every individual needs a place for their family where they can live, for this purpose they are supposed to build their houses which definitely requires cement.
This is one of the main reasons for the increase in the production of cement.
As we know that Pakistan is a developing country and for a developing country it is important as well as advantageous to build more and more infrastructures. Since it invests in making infrastructures, roads, bridges, dams, and housing schemes, there is a need for more sustainable building materials which ultimately increases the production of cement.
The government of Pakistan may take initiatives to construct houses for the poor people and to provide each and every individual in the state, shelter, which can lead to an increase in the demand for cement.
Another reason for cement production is low-interest rates on housing loans which resultantly motivates people to invest in real estate activities, increasing cement production.
The sudden increase in the production of cement may prove beneficial for the country because an increase in the production of cement also catches the attention of foreigners to import cement from Pakistan which is good for the economy.
