The Electricity Shock

Nowadays, everyone, literally everyone is so upset with the sudden increase in electricity bills. Instead of development, our country is moving downward. With such a high rate of taxes in every sector, it has become difficult to survive in these circumstances.

The angry protestors are now on the streets and are threatening to damage the infrastructure of the state. This sudden increase indicated that this is just an extortion of the administration on the political, powerful, and landed classes who are not paying taxes which they are further taking out on the citizens of the state.

Being stuck between the IMF deal and with such an uncertain situation in the country, it has become difficult for the administration to overcome the situation and to run the policies in a proper way. Moreover, economic and political instability has put over nation’s interest at risk. It is shameful for us that being a nuclear power, it has become a challenge for us to tackle our own contradiction fighting.

It is the first time in the history of Pakistan that women are kept in jail over different charges. In short, conditions are getting worse and our country needs a sudden rehabilitation.

Final Thoughts

Electricity is an essential means of survival. It should be cheap for every individual in the state, if can’t be cheap, it must be affordable so that everyone has access to it.
