It is best to privatize PIA

Pakistan International Airline, PIA, has always been the talk of the town for many reasons but recently, talk about privatizing PIA is taking a toll on the state.

If I talk about my family’s experience, the rumors, I would say, we get to hear about PIA’s safety concerns, lack of time management or poor facilities are quite true.

Thus, many believe that to get rid of such poor quality airlines, they should be privatized because otherwise, it is unhealthy for the economy of Pakistan.

Rational Reasons to privatize PIA

There are plenty of concerns of PIA’s passengers and some of them are evaluated and then described below:

Poor facilitation

Let’s not talk about things that we have not experienced. I personally will never recommend PIA because whenever we fly on PIA, we are dissatisfied with the food, and staff’s attitude, and also, the delay in getting our luggage adds more to the dissatisfaction.

Safety concerns

If I had to travel, I would not prefer PIA because I believe it is dangerous to trust PIA after the crash incident of 2020. Privatizing PIA would not only help it financially but also, would provide new competitive pilots to the airline.

Pros and cons of privatizing PIA

While making the list of pros and cons, I found that the pros are far higher than the cons. Privatizing PIA would help to run the airline without any bureaucratic pressure, hence providing it an opportunity to function according to the needs and wants of the passengers.

Conclusion

The economy of Pakistan is already going through a rough patch and in this need of hour privatizing PIA would be a great way to deal with the economic instability.

Though Pakistan is a poor country, the people in it are quite well off to support the country by investing in the airline once privatized. Hence, it is going to benefit both at the same time.
