Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has been working on the Lahore Akbar Chowk Flyovers project for the past year.
This flyover will open for traffic this month. Most of the construction work for this project has been completed. For the convenience of the people, this will be inaugurated in November.
Girder work, including the work of girder launching and fixation of girders on both pillars, has been completed.
On the overhead bridge, the asphalt work has also been completed. This will ensure that the asphalt work on the flyover starts within the week.
The Akbar Chowk Flyovers and remodelling project began in May this year. Traffic maintenance in Lahore has become a major problem.
The government has been working on projects to fix this problem. New roads, Flyovers, and bridges are being added to the infrastructure for the convenience of the general public. This project aims to transport the Maulana Shaukat Ali Road into a signal-free corridor.
Traffic jams and rush hour traffic are one of the biggest problems in Lahore. This project will tackle that problem on the Maulana Shaukat Ali Road.
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the site. He urged the project to be completed in all haste.
