DBTV Sports is under fire for sharing an emotional moment with Naseem Shah

DBTV Sports has come under fire for sharing a viral clip of Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah crying and calling out to his late mama as he prepared for shoulder surgery in London.

The clip has left netizens deeply worried to see such a  particular moment of the youth being spread around social media for views and likes. Netizens have demanded DBTV Sports to cancel the videotape.

The videotape shows Naseem Shah, heavily sedated, tearfully calling for his late mother while being assured by the person recording the videotape. His mama had tragically passed away in 2019, during a period when Naseem made his transnational Test debut for Pakistan in Australia.

However, fans were upset to see such a vulnerable and private moment of Naseem Shah being recorded and spread online. Fans called this wrong and asked the sports channel to protect his privacy.

On the bright side, Naseem has successfully undergone surgery on his shoulder, which lasted roughly half an hour and was carried out by a specialist surgeon in the UK’s capital.

The doctors anticipate the 21-year-old Naseem to make a quick recovery post-surgery, Naseem Shah has been advised a recovery period of four to six weeks, during which he’ll concentrate on recuperation before continuing practice sessions.

Medical professionals involved in Naseem Shah’s treatment are hopeful about his swift recovery, attributing his youthful age as a significant advantage.

Young athletes, like Naseem, frequently have an advanced advantage of better rehabilitation compared to their aged counterparts.
