Skardu

My Memories of Skardu

I had visited many places in my country but had never seen such a type of beauty before like Skardu. Yes, it is not strange to know that Skardu is one of the reflections of heaven on earth.

Me and my friend planned to visit that heaven so that we would be fascinated by its tremendous beauty. For this, we met a guy who works for a travel agency with whom we went there. He added us to a WhatsApp group named Journey towards Skardu. After all arrangements, we left for our journey towards Skardu at 4 a.m.

During our journey, we witnessed large mountains somewhere shielded with lush green trees and somewhere covered with white crystals of snow. The roads were highly dangerous because we passed through many nearby places that challenged everyone who went through them. Through many routes, finally we reached Skardu.

Skardu is 1423 km away from Karachi. Located in the lap of the Karakoram Mountain Range, Skardu presents adorable scenes that totally attract the attention of the tourists.

In spite of the beauty the other thing I liked about the Skardu is that the crime rate is zero there. If you forget anything there, people will safely hand that thing to you. Unless I am a part of Pakistan, I can’t believe at once that people there are really honest but they are.

Being fond of historical places, we visited Shigar Fort which was built by the Raja of Amacha Dynasty. The Fort has now changed into a luxury museum and a hotel.

After visiting Fort we went for Dessert named Sarfaranga Desert which is 7,500 feet high. Karakoram Mountains surrounded the desert like a sea wall. The real scene started when the sun began to set, rays twinkled the soft and fluffy golden sand particles like pearls. After gazing started at night we came back to our hotel to take a rest and got up fresh for the next day.

The next day we went to Manthoka Waterfall. Summers are humid in Skardu, the sun shines too bright.  In spite of the weather, we dunked our feet into the stream and enjoyed a lot there. Nevertheless of other places, Manthoka Waterfall is the most crowded of all. After visiting all such places we left for our homes gathering many beautiful memories as we had to leave Skardu for once.

Final Thoughts

Skardu is the most fine and best place to visit ever. There are many spots placed on one single land of Skardu that have the potential to make any individual’s intellect stunned. In conclusion, we can say that Skardu should be included as the most visited place in the world.
