Old Man and Football: Gianluigi Buffon

God has made many of the great individuals and sent them to the planet Earth. They give their best and have a special place in the people’s hearts. Gianluigi Buffon is one of them.

He is known as one of the good and most respected football players in the world. He has been playing football for at the highest level of 28 years. Although he would retire 10 years ago but surprisingly he has kept playing until now, and he looks like age has finally caught up by him.

After an injury in Italy’s second tier, he decided to end up his playing career by announcing his retirement on Instagram.

He has given many trophies by having an excellent goalkeeper throughout his journey. He has been a role model for goalkeepers for 3 decades of breaking records.

It is sad to see Buffon ending up his playing journey but he will be 46 in January 2024.

Final Thoughts

Sometimes it is very hard to say good bye to the best and your favorite player but Gianluigi Buffon will always have a special place in his fan’s hearts and they also want to see his as a coach or in some capacity.

Moreover, it is good for us to spectate Buffon’s well-deserved break from the game of which he has been a part of his life, get inspired by what he’ll do after retirement and how will he be able to always keep his name remember, and well known.
