Sialkot has been undergoing many new projects to boost infrastructure. The recent linking of the Sialkot motorway to Lahore was a big step for the city.
The Punjab government is focusing on increasing convenience for the people of Sialkot through multiple construction projects. The city of Punjab has seen a surge in population and requires steps necessary to make life easier for its citizens.
Recently, NHA also approved the Sialkot-Narowal Link road project. Construction is undergoing on six highways under the supervision of the Punjab Government.
Deputy Commissioner Shah Mir Iqbal shared his vision to transform the city of Sialkot.
A meeting was held in the Deputy Commissioner’s office. As per the details, the DC revealed the estimated cost for the construction of these six projects.
The six highways will cost a total of PKR 1,091 million. This amount is allocated by the budget of the Punjab Government to convert the city into a better locality.
The infrastructure improvement is necessary for the convenience of the general public. The ongoing projects are directed to be completed by mid-December so that the new construction can begin swiftly.
During the meeting, a directive was issued to complete the construction.
