Smart city collaboration with Chinese firm underway
Senator Faisal Saleem and Board of Investment (BOI) Member Muhammad Imran Masood recently led a delegation from Pakistan.
According to a news resource published on October 10th, the delegation visited the Anlu International Technology Company in China-Beijing.
The development of smart cities in Pakistan has been a long-standing debate. The delegation was involved in a comprehensive discussion with the Chinese Anlu International Technology Company regarding this smart development. The company’s chairman was directly involved in the discussion with the delegation.
Liu Quanjun, Chairman of Beijing Anlu, introduced his company to the delegation. He said that they were one of the few companies pioneering in smart city development and investment.
They have extended their services to over 30 countries. In addition to the smart city service, they are also involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Peshawar BRT Project and the Lahore Safe City Project, are some of the few projects that are being led by this firm. Being actively involved in the construction sector they have provided better insights on the Pakistani requirements in this sector.
Liu Quanjun, Chairman of Beijing Anlu, has expressed optimism about this potential collaboration. He emphasized his desire for better connections in the future.
