The launch of the Ghazi Economic Zone in Peshawar
Dr. Syed Aamer Abdullah, the interim minister for industry, trade, technical education, and tribal affairs, laid the foundation stone for the Ghazi Economic Zone (GEZ) on Saturday.
GEZ, which spans 89 acres, is ideally located at the crossroads of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, about 15 kilometers from the Hazro Interchange of the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway.
During the inaugural event, he stated that even if the caretaker setup would only last temporarily, the government would keep its promises to investors and businessmen, and they would not spare any effort in this area.
The minister instructed the relevant authorities to set up a meeting with the management of the cement production plants at the request of the industry representative.
He specifically welcomed Karachi-based companies to invest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and told them that the province administration would act as their representative in attempts to resolve their issues.
Allotment letters were handed out during the ceremony, and launching ceremonies were held for the Art Line Packaging Industry, which will invest PKR 400 million and create 250 job possibilities, and Blanc Fixe Minerals, which will invest PKR 334 million and create 25 jobs.
